Ex X-Factor hopes
WEST Norfolk's X-Factor hopes were dashed when Lynn lads I Sette Cantanti were booted off the show on Saturday night.
The teenagers made it through to the last six in the group competition, but were given their marching orders by judge Simon Cowell just two weeks before the live finals begin.
Friends Simon Benefer (18), Chris Butterworth (18), James Currey (17), David Maddison (18), Robert Parker (17), Luke Wedge-Skinner (18) and Daniel Woodford (18), were all pupils at Lynn's Springwood High School who enjoyed music.
They impressed judges with their combination of beat box and a cappella singing.
Simon, who lives in South Wootton, said he had no regrets about entering the competition. "We were pretty gutted when we didn't get through but we got over it. Watching it again was weird and made us feel bad again. We weren't really expecting to get through and some of the other groups were amazing.
"Our family and friends were disappointed for us. Taking part in the show was a great experience."
The group has now disbanded after four of its members moved away and Ben said he was now concentrating his efforts on his local band The Great City Flood.
