FAIRSTEAD: Big dreams for wannabe Teen Queen

A teenager from Fairstead is planning to take on beauty queens from across the UK to compete for the title of Teen Princess in an online pageant.

Carla de Melo, a 14-year-old student at Springwood Academy, has lived in Lynn since she was three-years-old but was born in Portugal.

She said: “About two years ago, I saw my sister doing modelling pictures for Miss Teen Queen and straight away I asked my mother if I could do it too.

“I want to be a Teen Princess because I know I can make a difference, by raising funds, helping other children and teenagers from poorer countries. I can be a role model to other teenagers that want to do the same as myself, I want to inspire them to do it too.”
