Fairstead to get 150 more homes

PLANS for 150 new homes off Anthony Nolan Road, on Lynn's Fairstead Estate, look set to be approved.

Planning officers have recommended detailed plans for the Newmarket-based Taylor Woodrow Developments scheme, should get the thumbs up from councillors at a development control board meeting on Monday.

The proposals include 45 homes categorised as "affordable" under council guidelines including rented and shared ownership.

The scheme already has initial approval.

Lynn Internal Drainage Board objected to permission being given because of a hold-up with conditions over drainage works, but a report to councillors said the problems are being resolved.
