Fakenham murder: more questioning

DETECTIVES have been given more time to question a suspect in connection with the murder of a man in Fakenham.

Police launched a murder enquiry on Monday when the body of a man in 60s was found at a property in Hall Close. The deceased man was found to have suffered head and abdominal injuries.

A 40-year-old Fakenham man, who is believed to be known by the victim, has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being questioned at a police station in the county.

Yesterday (11) detectives were granted a warrant of further detention at Lynn Magistrates' Court, which will allow them to continue questioning the suspect today (12).
