FAKENHAM: Three men charged in connection with town centre disturbance

THREE men will appear in court later this month charged in connection with a disturbance in Fakenham earlier this summer, police have confirmed.

Liam Woods, 22, of Hall Staithe in the town, faces two counts of assaulting a police officer and a third charge of using threatening language with intent to provoke violence.

Martin Woods, 20, also of Hall Staithe, has been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer.

And Connor Home, 20, of Stanfield, Dereham, is accused of one charge of using threatening language with intent to provoke violence.

The charges relate to an incident in Queens Road, Fakenham on June 23.

All three men have been bailed to appear before Lynn magistrates on September 27.

Police said they have been ordered to observe an overnight curfew and not to enter any licensed premises in Fakenham until their court appearance.
