Film-maker Christopher returns to Lynn roots for local project

A LYNN-bred film-maker has returned to his roots to make a film about a journey across Norfolk.

Christopher Brockbank, who is in his final year of study at the International Film School of Wales, made the 12-minute film, Speed of Light, with the help of fellow student Ben Rees.

Christopher (21), a former pupil of King Edward VII High School in Lynn and who then went on to study media and television at the College of West Anglia, did the film as part of his final projects for his B.A. (Hons) degree in documentary film-making.

It shows a bid to get from Great Yarmouth to Hunstanton between sunrise and sunset purely by using public transport and he was delighted when the film was awarded a first.

He still has to make another film and do a dissertation to complete his studies.

Now hoping to show the film to as many people as possible, Christopher hopes to work for a television company such as ITV in the long run.

He told the Lynn News: "I love the Norfolk landscape. It is my favourite place in the world."

The young film-maker - who narrated the film - had to make several trips back to the area over two months to complete his piece, which also features graphics.
