Flypast treat: Watch the video!

WEST Norfolk residents were treated on Wednesday when aircraft rehearsing The Queen's birthday flypast spectacularly flew over the area.

Four squadrons of RAF Marham-based GR4 tornados will take part in the flypast over Buckingham Palace, to mark the 82-year-old Monarch's official birthday, on Saturday (June 14) at 1.04pm.

They will be joined by Typhoon, VC10, AWACs, C17, Nimrod, Tri Star and Hs 125 aircraft in full formation.

As a practice, the aircraft involved flew over RAF Marham at 12.50pm on Wednesday (11) before a few moments later flying between Lynn and Wisbech and onwards to Spalding where they were joined by Hercules and King Air aircraft.

They finally took a right turn to RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire, arriving at 1pm.
