GAYTON: Bronze award for Tristan

Tristan Ward (9) of the 8th King's Lynn Cubs recieves a special award from Borough Mayor Geoffrey Wareham and Deputy District Commissioner of North Norfolk Mik Ranger.

Cub Tristan Ward has been presented with the Chief Scout’s Bronze Award by West Norfolk Borough Mayor, Geoffrey Wareham.

Tristan, 9, of Gayton, gained the award as a Beaver by fulfilling a number of challenges including creative, friendship, global and outdoor.

He is a member of the 8th King’s Lynn (Grimston) cub group and his mother, Stacey, said: “He loves all the activities, especially camping.”

Tristan was joined at the presentation by North Norfolk Deputy Commissioner, Mik Ranger, and his sister, Caitlin, 11. He was given a tour of Lynn Town Hall. Mrs Ward said: “They made him feel very important.” Picture: PAUL TIBBS MLNF13PT02401
