Gaywood burglar jumps fence to escape

A BURGLAR jumped over a fence and fled from a house in Gaywood after he was disturbed by the victim who found him raiding her handbag.

The female victim was watching television at her home on Kingcup when she went to the kitchen and saw a man with his hand in her handbag.

When she shouted at him he ran out of the back door with her purse, jumped over a fence and ran in the direction of the Harvester pub.

The incident happened at around 8.15pm yesterday (Wendesday)

The offender is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, in his late teens, of slim build with dark hair.
