AN ELDERLY woman with a history of falls died at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital, an inquest opening heard on Tuesday.

Emily Dickie (73) of Congham Road, Grimston, was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after suffering a fall on September 9.

Mrs Dickie, who had suffered a stroke some time before, was transferred to the Lynn hospital on November 2, where she died 15 days later from pneumonia, brought on by immobility and a broken leg.

Greater Norfolk coroner William Armstrong adjourned the inquest, held at Norwich Crown Court, to a date to be fixed.
