Guide dogs can really take to The Walks
CONTRACTORS working on the £4.3 million redevelopment project at Lynn's historic park The Walks made a generous donation to charity during a recent guided tour of the site.
UCS Civils welcomed West Norfolk Mayor Kathy Mellish to the park for an update on progress with the project and during her visit she received a 1,900 cheque for her chosen charity Guide Dogs for the Blind.
FORTUNATE
Site agent Paul Turner said: “We have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work on the renovation of Lynn’s Grade II Listed urban park, The Walks, and on the historic buildings within.
“UCS Civils, along with our subcontractors, took this opportunity to give something extra back to the community. We believe that the mayor’s charity is a really worthwhile cause and are pleased to be able to support it in this way.”
The money was raised through contributions from subcontractors on site and at the UCS Civils head office in Lincolnshire.
