Have a wild time at Pensthorpe . . .
AN INSPIRING and expert insight into all the wonderful winter wildlife at Pensthorpe will be on offer during a special guided walk.
The nature reserve, host of the popular BBC Springwatch series, have organised a special winter walk on Thursday, February 4, from 8.30am to 10.30am.
Guides on the day will be Pensthorpe's head gardener Imogen Checketts and warden Ed Braham-Jones, who will take visitors on a tour of the gardens and wildflower meadow, with its regionally important species, through to the bustling Wader Scrape.
They will identify the season's flora and fauna including the visiting wildfowl and will be on hand to answer any questions.
Mrs Deb Jordan, joint owner of Pensthorpe, said: "There's plenty happening at Pensthorpe over the winter months and I always think it is a lovely time of year to see wildlife, the gardens and the landscape.
"It's also one of the best times to see the waterfowl in their striking breeding plumage.
"Imogen and Ed are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, so visitors are guaranteed a very interesting walk."
Admission is 2.50 per person, in addition to the entrance fee to the reserve.
