HEACHAM: Man died after fall at dentist’s

An elderly man died after a fall when he lost balance stepping aside for a lady, an inquest in Lynn heard on Monday.

George Graby, 86, of Jennings Close, Heacham, was at a dentist’s surgery in Burnham Market on November 9 last year when he fell sideways.

Coroner William Armstrong heard Mr Graby declined to see a doctor and was taken home by neighbour Jean Smith after his check-up. She said Mr Graby seemed well and was chatting until he appeared to fall into a light sleep.

But, when they reached Mr Graby’s home Mrs Smith was unable to wake him and called 999. Mr Armstrong ruled Mr Graby died as a result of an accidental fall.
