HILGAY: Can you make a dent in 4lb burger in fundraising challenge?
Hilgay butcher Ali Dent with one of his monster 4lb burgers ready for a fundraising charity night.
A butcher who is not one to mince his words is challenging food fans across the area to make a Dent in a 4lb burger.
Ali Dent is offering a res-bite for people on post-Christmas diets by running the fundraising Hilgay Burgermeister Challenge on Saturday, January 19.
He is looking for teams or individuals to munch their way through the 12 inch burger, created at Dents of Hilgay, in order to raise money for the Norfolk Hospice.
The burger, which was inspired by the Man vs Food programme, will be quite a mouth full as it is five inches deep and surrounded by a big bun with a small layer of lettuce.
So far a team of women from a bakery have signed up to take on the challenge and Mr Dent is hoping more people will step forward.
Mr Dent said: “I thought we would wait for three weeks after Christmas as people won’t be so full up!
“I am hoping to get a lot of people involved.”
Entry is £15 for a team of four.
