Valentine’s Day was s-mashing for a West Norfolk butcher who discovered a heart-shaped potato.

Ali Dent, pictured above, presented this interesting spud to his wife Linda after discovering it within his shop in Stocks Hill, Hilgay, in the run-up to February 14.

Old romantic Mr Dent followed it on the big day yesterday with some cauliflowers.

Let’s hope he doesn’t get a roasting for his trouble.
