HILLINGTON: Jewels and computer stolen in house raid

Jewellery and computer equipment were stolen in a raid on a house in Hillington last weekend.

Police in Lynn have appealed for witnesses to the break-in at an address in Station Road to come forward.

Detectives believe raiders damaged a window in order to gain entry to the property between 2.30pm on Friday, February 1 and 7.45pm on Sunday, February 3.

Once inside, they stole jewellery, a laptop computer and two distinctive jewellery boxes.

One of the containers was a three-tier walnut box and the other a green lacquered Oriental-style box, a Norfolk Police spokesman said.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area last weekend.

Anyone with information should contact DC Chris Parnham, of Lynn CID, via the non-emergency 101 number (calls cost 15p).

Alternatively, witnesses can call Crimestoppers free and anonymously with information on 0800 555111.
