Hundreds gather in Fakenham's square
Hundreds crowded into Fakenham market square to pay their respects around the war memorial on a blustery Remembrance Sunday.
The main parade along Norwich Street was led by the Town Band ahead of service organisations, town councillors and community groups.
First to lay a wreath at the memorial was Fakenham Town Mayor Brenda Coldrick. Officers from both RAF Marham and the Light Dragoons also laid wreaths in acknowledgement of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
A short service led by Fakenham rector the Rev Adrian Bell, padre of the British Legion, called for remembrance of all those who had died in war in the service of their country.
Town band buglers Chris Sayer and Graham Lewis played the Last Post and Reveille, the two minutes silence broken only by a flock of seagulls wheeling overhead. As the church clock struck three, parade members made their way across the square for the combined service in church, also led by Mr Bell.
