A rising trend of middle-aged men committing suicide was highlighted during a Samaritans conference.
Members of the Lynn branch were joined by colleagues from across the East of England for a regional conference at Searles in Hunstanton over the last weekend.
The 180 people had the opportunity to listen to six speakers, which included the deputy governor of Wayland Prison, Mary Dodson, and the Samaritans head of policy and research Claire Wyllie. She highlighted the concern about the rising number of men taking their own lives. Members of the Lynn branch will be handing out promotional literature at gyms and clubs.
