Hunstanton lifeboat sent to kite boarders

LIFEBOAT crew members in Hunstanton were called out three times on Sunday to kite boarders in trouble.

The first incident happend at 10am when a kite boarder was spotted in the water off Old Hunstanton beach, drifting out to sea.

He was hauled from the water and returned to the beach with his equipment.

About at hour later crew members were called back to the same spot to reports of someone else in trouble - but another kite boarder had stepped in and towed the man ashore.

The final call, just before midday, was to a woman kite boarder in difficulties off Brancaster but she got back to the beach before the crew arrived.
