Hunstanton MD sent for trial

A HUNSTANTON managing director accused of grooming a 14-year-old girl through an Internet chatroom and incitement to engage in sexual activity, has been sent for trial at Southwark Crown Court.

Geoffrey Dennis (47), of 12 York Avenue, is accused of two offences of grooming on July 23 and October 3 this year and two of incitement on July 16 and September 14 this year.

City of Westminster magistrates ordered Mr Dennis, who appeared in court via a video link, to appear for a plea and case management hearing at Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday, December 5.

Mr Dennis, who is married, is currently on remand at Bedford Prison. He is said to run an IT company related to social housing.
