Indulge yourself at Fakenham this weekend

SHOPPERS in Fakenham can look forward to indulging in two days of 'ambiance francaise' when Brunomart's French and continental market comes to the market square on Friday and Saturday.

Already well known in Lynn, Downham and Norwich, this renowned market is now in its seventh year of offering regional customers all the diversity and speciality of traditional French and continental products.

Look out for a wide selection of cheeses and olives, follow your nose towards the tempting smell of fresh bread and pastries and keep an eye open for onions, shallots and, of course, garlic.

There's more to savour in soupe de poisson and confit de canard and the sweet tooth is catered for with honey, brioche and crpes topped with chocolate or liqueur.

Also on sale are French African crafts, earthenware, leather goods, hand-woven baskets and costume jewellery. And by all means do have a go at practising your French with the convivial stallholders. The market runs from 9am to 5pm both days.
