It came from outer space...

EAGLE-eyed members of the public are asked to keep a look out for a camera that has literally fallen from the sky and possibly landed in a field near Downham.

The camera, launched from Cambridge, was attached to a helium balloon and set to take pictures of The Wash from 120,000 feet (22.7 miles).

It was being tracked by Leeds-based Robert Harrison and should have floated back to earth via parachute after around three hours.

However, Mr Harrison rang the Lynn News to say a battery had failed, it had stopped transmitting and he had lost it.

He has calculated the camera is possibly south west of Downham.

Mr Harrison is offering a 100 reward for the safe return of the camera and images.

This is more than they are worth, he said. His number is on the equipment.
