Just ten days to find a Super Kid

THERE are now only ten days left for nominations to be received for this year's Super Kids Awards.

The closing date is Monday, March 2, so if you know a deserving child or young person in West Norfolk, please let us know before it is too late.

More than 1,000 in prize money is waiting to be won and every child nominated receives a prize.

Anyone can make a nomination using the special form on this page.

Or telephone Claire Beal on 01553 817319 or the Newsdesk on 01553 817324 if you would like more information.

There are three award categories:

Achievement at home, at school, in sport, for an organisation or charity;

Personal courage in the face of sickness, disability or some other setback;

Acts of bravery or outstanding initiative in difficult circumstances.

The winner of each category will receive 175 and 150 to donate to their favourite charity.

There will also be an overall winner of Super Kids 2008, who will receive 300 and 200 to donate to his or her chosen good cause.

Every child or young person nominated will be invited with their families to a special awards ceremony at Lynn Town Hall.

To be eligible, nominees must have been 16 or under on December 31, 2008.

Entrants from previous years may be re-nominated. The judges reserve the right to decide the most appropriate nomination category. The awards are sponsored by Premier Foods and supported by West Norfolk Council and Norfolk Police.
