KING’S LYNN AND WISBECH: Friday Bridge man is facing seven rape charges

A MAN is facing seven rape charges.

Peter Sayer, 41, is accused of indecently assaulting and raping a girl in Lynn and Wisbech between 1993 and 2000.

Yesterday, Lynn magistrates committed Sayer, of Maltmas Road, Friday Bridge, to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on Thursday, September 20.

Sayer is accused of indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 16, in Lynn, between October 13, 1993, and October 12, 1995.

He is also facing seven rape charges which span between October 13, 1995, and July 7, 2000.

No plea was entered.

He was released on conditional bail.
