KING’S LYNN: bus lane back in action

South Lynn’s bus lane is back in use for Norfolk Green bus services after a car became stuck on the rising bollard on Wednesday.

Up to 500 travellers were expected to be affected per hour if the bus lane were closed for any length of time while the damage was fixed, forcing buses to join the already congested London Road at peak times.

Richard Pengelly, operations manager, said: “It just seems insane that this is the second time it has happened on a well-signposted road.”
