KING’S LYNN: College offers broad horizons - SEE PICS
Aerial views of King's Lynn from the roof of the College of West Anglia tower block showing areas of the town including, Docks, Matalan, Greyfirars Tower, Morrisons, St Margarets, Lynn Minister, KES, Lynnsport etc.
These are the views that prove the sky is the limit for college students in Lynn.
The views, as captured by Lynn News photographer Paul Tibbs, are from the roof of the tower block at Lynn’s College of West Anglia, in Tennyson Avenue.
From the building, which provides one of the highest vantage points in Lynn, it is possible to make out the network of residential and industrial areas that make up the fabric of the town, interspersed with historical treasures such as Lynn Minster and St Nicholas’ Chapel.
The views have been hidden even to college staff and students since the summer of 2011 when the block began a £12.5 million refurbishment.
It is hoped the building, including a plush new refectory and social area on the ground floor, will be back in use at the end of the summer term.
