KING’S LYNN: Eyes on the prize for charity
An opticians in Lynn has joined with fellow stores to pledge to collectively raise £25,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Specsavers stores in and around the region have come together to support the charity which supports families and provides help for children and young people with life-threatening conditions.
EACH partnerships manager, Mark Loades said: “We are delighted to have the support of Specsavers stores in the Anglia region and hope that the local community will support all fundraising that each individual store participates in.
“The generous pledge will help us to continue to provide care and support to local life-threatened children and their families.”
Stores across the region have a year to reach their target, with Specsavers planning to present the full amount at the end of January 2014.
Sarah Flowers, Specsavers regional chairman, said: “Each store is looking forward to their fundraising activities over the coming 12 months and to help collectively reach the target amount, so we hope local communities support us.”
