KING’S LYNN: Knit, natter and stack at library events
Amazing activities for all ages are being offered at Lynn Library tomorrow.
A taster day is being organised from 10am to 4pm with the aim of encouraging visitors to see their local library in a new light.
The programme will include storytime, rhymetime, children’s knit and natter, family history, local history, speed-stacking, computers and Wii games.
The library’s community development worker, Jim Cambridge, said libraries now offered a wide range of activities. “The aim of the taster day is to promote the amazing range of things that we do at the library,” he said.
People who were not familiar with what the library had to offer would be able to drop in and find out more.
Mr Cambridge said: “Libraries have changed over the years but, unfortunately, some people’s opinions haven’t. This event is a chance for them to come and visit us and see what a fantastic resource their library is.”
Library members and non-members are welcome and all activities are free.
