KING’S LYNN: Mayor praised by Rotarians

West Norfolk Mayor Geoffrey Wareham spoke to Lynn’s Rotary Club about his charity work for young carers at the club’s partners’ dinner.
The Rotarians have supported young carers for the last ten years by organising their Christmas party and this year they will also be taking 40 young people to see the popular musical Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat at Lynn’s Corn Exchange.
Club president Richard Waite said: “It is a hugely important charity and it is brilliant that the Mayor supports it.”
Around 50 people attended the event at the Jolly Brewers pub in Shouldham Thorpe and also heard from Sally Edwards from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital who spoke about prostate cancer.
Anyone interested in joining the Rotary should contact club’s president Richard Waite on 01553 772656.
