KING’S LYNN: Police probe gold chain theft

Eight gold chains, worth more than £2,000 in total, were stolen from a Lynn jewellery shop this week.

Three women entered the shop in Tower Street at around 1.30pm on Monday and asked to look at a number of items, police say.

It is believed that while the younger women distracted the cashier, the older woman – who had distinctive gold teeth – leant over the counter and stole the chains, which are each worth between £200 and £300.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Sarah Chandler of Lynn police on 101.
