Union leaders have given a £2,000 boost to cancer care services in West Norfolk.

Officials from the GMB’s Lynn number one branch have made a further donation to the Macmillan unit at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital to go towards enhanced services for patients in the area.

The unit is currently undergoing an £840,000 refurbishment programme, which is expected to be completed in the spring. The union alone has now donated around £5,000 to the project.

Sister Sharon Holmes of the unit, second right, received the cheque from, from left, GMB general secretary Paul Kenny, Lynn branch secretary Dave Dennis, Barry Tice and regional secretary Paul Hayes. MLNF12AF12089
