Lynn competition won by Downham's Sam

A MINI colouring competition has been creating maximum interest at a Lynn garage.

The children's challenge, organised by Listers, in Hardwick Road, attracted more than 400 entries which have been on display in the Mini showroom.

They were judged by Listers' staff and about 40 youngsters and their parents and grandparents were invited to the dealership on Saturday morning for the prizegiving.

First place went to nine-year-old Sam Potts, from Downham, who won a computer for himself and one for his school, Beeston Hall, West Runton.

Runner-up, Conner Forshaw, from West Lynn, went home with a mini rucksack and a goody bag, and there was a similar rucksack and goodies for ten-year-old Katherine Manley whose entry was placed third overall.

Ross Johnson , who is the business development manager at Listers, explained that the competition involved colouring in and "customising" a picture of the new Mini car.

"We had an excellent response and there were some very imaginative, cleverly designed entries," he said.
