Lynn hit and run victim still in hospital

RETIRED Dow Chemical worker Michael Kenny remains in Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a fractured skull and broken right leg after last Monday's hit-and-run incident on the Fairstead Estate.

Mr Kenny (64), from Postmill on Fairstead, was walking his dog, Prince, at about 9.15am that day, and crossing Winston Churchill Drive near the Anthony Nolan Road junction, when he was in collision with a dark-coloured estate car. The car failed to stop at the scene and police are seeking witnesses.

Yesterday his eldest daughter Mrs Kathleen Leys, of Chapel Road, Dersingham, said her father had a constant headache with the skull fracture and could not have an operation to pin his broken leg until that injury healed.

"He could be in hospital up to Christmas," she said.

Mr Kenny's younger daughter, Mrs Pauline John, flew from Italy on Thursday to see her father before returning to Naples, where she lives with her husband and two children.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should contact PC Becky Wood on 0845 456 4567.
