Lynn store staff help Sport Relief

STAFF at Lynn's Sainsbury's store were among those in West Norfolk to go Sport Relief crazy at the weekend, helping to raise more than £20 million nationally.

The town centre store organised a number of events and challenges – and raised more than 2,700 to help vulnerable and disadvantaged people in the UK and around the world.

Challenges included a sponsored static bike ride in the store on Friday, and a mile-walk in The Walks on Sunday, which 40 members of staff took part in.

Some staff also took part in sponsored swims at St James' Pool, a bike ride from Downham to Lynn, non-uniform days and a bingo and quiz.

Store spokesman Jayne Dix said staff were thrilled with how much was raised.
