Magical story times at Pott Row

STAFF and pupils at Pott Row First School celebrated Children's Book Week by dressing up as some of their favourite characters.

Harry Potter shared stories with Postman Pat and Burglar Bill at the school.

"It was about raising standards and encouraging the children to read," said headteacher Michelle Petzer. "I think it made them think about the books they were reading and not just about what they had in their wardrobe."

Pupils also donned pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers for a special bedtime story, read by staff from the local library.
