Man, 90, dies the day after falling at his home in Fakenham

A 90-year-old man died at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital the day after a fall at his home in Fakenham, an inquest was told last week.

Cyril Lane died on September 3 from a traumatic brain injury suffered in the fall at his home in Greenway Lane.

Norfolk coroner William Armstrong, sitting in Norwich on Wednesday, said a post mortem showed the cause of death was an acute subdural haematoma following the fall on September 2.

Mr Armstrong said the inquest would have to be adjourned for further inquiries to try and establish how and why Mr Lane fell.
