A group of golfers raised £750 for Macmillan Cancer Support at their charity days last year.

Middleton Hall golf club seniors raised the money at competitions and through raffles.

And they have now presented a cheque for £650 to representatives of the charity, having already sent £100 to them.

The club raises money for a different charity each year and last year’s captain Alan De Witt chose Macmillan. He said: “One or two of our members have had cancer so it is a cause close to our hearts. I would like to thank everyone for their contributions. It was a great effort from everybody.”
