Morris Minor enthusiasts descend on Hunstanton

MORRIS Minor enthusiasts have put their cherished classics to good use, descending on Hunstanton to raise £125 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Members of the West Norfolk Minors parked nine of the vintage cars on The Green and collected donations from passers-by, eager to have a closer look.

The club, which has branches nationwide, will be joining forces with the charity to fundraise on a greater scale next year to mark the 60th anniversary of both organisations.

Treasurer and events organiser Mrs Wendy Horn, of Terrington St John, said: "We have collected for the East Anglian Air Ambulance in the past, but this year we had a change.

"Lots of people stopped to look at the cars and we even gained a new member. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed."

To find out more about the club, call Mrs Horn on 01945 880704. New members do not need to own a Morris Minor themselves.
