Mum assaulted in South Lynn

A YOUNG mother was assaulted on Thursday morning as she walked through South Lynn with her young children.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was pushing a buggy with both her children when a man in his 60s made inappropriate comments and grabbed her bottom.

Police said the victim had just entered Wisbech Road from Clenchwarton Road when she was approached by the man close to the entrance of the East Coast Storage Business Park between 11am and 11.30am.

The man, who is described as being 6ft tall and was walking with a dog, stopped the woman by standing in front of the buggy and made inappropriate comments before grabbing her bottom and walking off towards Clenchwarton Road.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further inquiries.
