Murder inquiry launched after Fakenham death

DETECTIVES have today (Tuesday) launched a murder inquiry following the death of a man in Fakenham.

Police attended a property at Hall Close just before 9.15am yesterday (Monday) after concerns were raised for the welfare of a local householder.

The body of a man in his 60s was discovered. The man had suffered head and abdominal injuries.

The death is being treated as murder and a 40-year-old Fakenham man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He is believed to be known to the victim.

He is currently being detained for questioning at a police station in the county.
