Networking works for Fakenham truck firm
A CHANCE meeting at a business networking club landed a new West Norfolk commercial vehicle dealership with its first major contract.
Vanshop, which moved into premises in Hempton Road, Fakenham, a few weeks ago, has just supplied seven new Mitsubishi tipper trucks to another West Norfolk firm.
They were collected by West Norfolk Surfacing, a Lynn-based company which has contracts across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire carrying out reinstatement work for utility companies including Anglian Water, for Network Rail and for local authorities. The purpose-built aluminium tipper bodies were designed and manufactured by Wisbech-based GB Bodies and the vehicles sourced and supplied by Vanshop.
Vanshop's managing director, Kevin Owen, said: "These vehicles have been purchased to replace a current fleet of DAF and MAN tippers.
"It is the first major order for us since we moved into the Hempton Road site and, in fact, it all happened as a result of meeting West Norfolk Surfacing's managing director, Richard Moore, at a Business Networking International meeting at Lynn.
