New parish councillors at Hillington

HILLINGTON Parish Council is to welcome three new members after they were elected unopposed.

An election was due to take place on Thursday, March 6, to fill four vacancies but only three nominations were received.

The new members are Lesley Heywood, of Wheatfields, Hillington; Jane Hill of Wheatfields, Hillington; and Neil Riseborough, of Field Farm, Hillington.

A new election date will be fixed to fill the remaining vacancy.
