North Lynn friend found dead

A SCAFFOLDER was found dead in his North Lynn flat by a friend who had to kick the door down to gain entry.

Wayne Lloyd (38), of 44 Turbus Road, died of a multiple drugs overdose on March 10 this year.

His friend Darren Fox found Mr Lloyd lying on the floor. He went to his home after being told he had not been seen at work for four days.

After looking through the letter box and seeing a pair of boots, he kicked the door down and found Mr Lloyd.

Police found a selection of drug paraphernalia in the flat.

Mr Fox told an inquest at Lynn County Court on Friday that Mr Lloyd had a history of heroin problems, but had been off drugs for six months.

He said: "Someone asked if I had seen Wayne as he had not been at work. He used to work seven days a week so alarm bells started ringing."

Greater Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong said after a period of abstinence from taking drugs users lose their tolerance and similar amounts, as taken before, can have a lethal impact.

He recorded a verdict of accidental death.
