North Lynn man charged over concealing property

A NORTH Lynn man admitted drugs and money laundering charges when he appeared before Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday.

Larry Mayes (47), of 18 Mariners Way, admitted five charges of concealing criminal property between February 2003 and February this year by putting varying amounts of cash into different building society accounts and by buying a 19,345 Saab car in July 2003.

He also admitted possessing heroin on February 2 this year.

Mayes was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at the court on Monday, November 5.

Similar charges against Linda Eagle (48), of the same address, were withdrawn by the Crown Prosecution Service.
