A North Lynn man has gone missing after he missed his return to jail.

Brendan Mooney, 27, was formally recalled to prison last Tuesday after breaching the terms of his licence, but has not yet been traced.

Police believe he is somewhere in West Norfolk and say residents should contact them if they see him. They advise that he should not be approached.

Mooney is described as white, 6ft, of medium build with short, dark hair.

He was jailed for 30 months for burglary in July 2011 and appeared before Lynn magistrates earlier this month, where he admitted stealing DVDs from the town’s Matalan store while free on licence.
