North Norfolk Radio to go on air

A NEW commercial radio station is gearing up to hit the local airwaves in November.

North Norfolk Radio will broadcast on 96.2 and 103.2FM and provide a mix of local news and views, music from the Sixties onwards and general news items.

The target audience will encompass North Walsham and Cromer in the east, Wells and Fakenham in the west and as far south as Dereham and Taverham. Former Radio Norfolk presenter Andy Archer has been signed up for a mid-morning magazine programme with Mike Ahern taking the breakfast show slot and Keith Travis fronting drive-time.

The news editor is John Bultitude and the station will be managed by Sharron Tuck, former singer with local bands The Imitations and Soul Traders.

Her experience of radio has been principally with Star 107.9 in Cambridge.

More information about the station and its plans can be obtained via www.northnorfolkradio. com
