Passengers cut free after Lynn crash
MOTORISTS faced long tailbacks during the Wednesday evening rush hour following a head-on collision between two vehicles on Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Way.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a blue Renault Clio and silver Toyota Yaris near the Knights Hill roundabout at around 5pm.
Fire crews had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof from each vehicle and free the passengers trapped inside.
Those involved were taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment and diversion routes were put in place before the road re-opened at 6.45pm.
