Patti collects in Lynn for CIN

GRANDMOTHER Patti Stanley, pictured, spent six hours in freezing conditions in Broad Street, Lynn, on Wednesday raising £253.91 for this year's Children in Need appeal.

The 59-year-old retired shopworker does something every year for the BBC's appeal and this time had a special Catch the Bunny game for children to play, involving catching mini-rabbits dropped down a long tube to win a prize.

She also sold Pudsey badges and key rings.

Ms Stanley, of 2 Raleigh Road, Gaywood, said: "It was a very cold day and I was frozen to the bone, but Labels store lent me a scarf and gloves and Holland and Barrett were giving me cups of coffee.

"The Party Shop blew up balloons for me and Poundland gave me sweets for the children. I want to thank everyone who supported and sponsored me – to raise that much in six hours was wonderful."
