Petrol going through the roof? Let us know what you are paying.
MOTORISTS are bracing themselves with news petrol could reach 120p a litre - and are shopping around to get the best deal.
National newspapers are reporting it is feared the leap will be made in the next few weeks, with a rise in the wholesale cost of petrol since January being blamed.
And, to add to motorists' woes, there is due to be an increase of 3p in duty on petrol from April 1.
According to a free, fuel price comparison website - www.petrolprices.com - the national average price of a litre is 116.3.
In Hunstanton, the Tesco garage price is slightly below this at 115.9 but at the supermarket giant's store near the Hardwick roundabout in Lynn, and at Tesco Express in Gaywood, the price is lower at 114.9p per litre. This is also the petrol price in Fakenham.
However, according to the website, figures for Swaffham show the average price to be slightly above the national average at 116.9 a litre, while in Downham the average price is 115.9p.
If prices generally do shoot up to 120p a litre, it will beat the 119p price peak in July 2008.
