CERTIFICATES have been presented to volunteers at the King’s Lynn Phobbies Club who have all successfully completed a training course in first aid, movement and lifting.
The presentation was held on Thursday at St Anne’s House in Lynn.
Last November Phobbies Club approached Lynn Lions with a request for financial assistance for their helpers to undertake in the training sessions.
The Lions readily agreed and sessions were set up with P and K Training, who are based in St Annes House, and the training was undertaken by Angela Pilkington. Sylvia Pomeroy, the Phobbies co-ordinator, said the training was “the best she has ever received” and thanked all her volunteers for their time and enthusiasm.
She also paid tribute to Mike Thompson of Lynn Lions for organising the training.
